We have just returned from a wonderful evening at Platanos! A gorgeous spot for dinner. The food and service were wonderful! The wine delicious! And the ambience and music superb! A beautiful summers evening that we will cherish. Thank you 💙

After visiting Kos for a couple of days, we had the best food and atmosphere here so far. Friendly service. You should definitely eat here at least once during your visit to Kos. Great live music too. Beautiful place.

Excellent atmosphere and service. Magnificent tastes. BUT! NO dish is worth waiting for two hours. This is how long it took for the mains to arrive. Huge problem in the kitchen operations. Hence the four stars. If you are patient give it a try.

The food was delicious. Came once for lunch and dinner, both very good, servings are big enough. Dessert very good too. Homemade limonade sooo good. Service Excellent, across is old building, at night there are lights

I’m a strong believer in leaving 5 star reviews for restaurants providing the majority of boxes are ticked, then every now and then we stumble upon something exceptional like Platanus and it makes me wonder why google don’t offer the ability to give some additional kind of rewards for the exceptional. Firstly the location is just amazing, the restaurant is situated directly opposite the historical Plane tree of Hippocrates (featured in the book remarkable trees of the world) so for a tree lover the location alone definitely ticks the box. I can’t be certain on this but I also believe that there is some kind of live music played each night, trust me when I say if you are seeking the ideal romantic restaurant you really must visit Platanus as the setting and the music combined is delightful. If truthful no matter the food served up at this point the 5 stars have already been given, then we have the most wonderful pleasant waiter and the food that arrives is some of the best I have been fortunate enough to experience. The starter of veal souvlaki and Greek salad was followed by beef skirt and veal cheek cooked for 36 hours. OMG !!!! Fine dining at its best, it’s clear the chef knows how to impress, we followed with pistachio crème brûlée and a pavlova which also did not disappoint in any way. To finish the evening off we both had flambéed coffee, had Irish coffees and liqueur coffees but these are something a little different and special. Truly one of the greatest food experiences I have ever had and I really cannot fault in any way whatsoever, do not miss out on the experience.
