Taverna Alexandros

Local here. Avoid this place. We visited twice last summer, and both times we experienced unethical behaviour. Surprisingly both times they informed us they don’t accept card payment after we ate. They could have told us before we ordered but obviously they didn’t want to lose the customers. Same happened to a group of tourists next table where they forced them to go find an atm. The excuse was that the card system was down. Both times… Portions were small and poor and for the frozen quality quite expensive. You can walk a little bit further and find better places for sure. No receipt given.

We were on holiday in Greece & were in search of a GOOD plate of Gyros. Saw this place & the scenery (& view on the sea) was amazing. We asked to reserve a specific table for 7:30PM and it was no problem, the waiter helped us with a big smile. The starter was amazing. Great mussels in garlic sauce, spicy wings & some tasty garlic pita bread. Main course was, of course, Gyros, which did not dissapoint. Came with delicious pita bread, which was insanely tasteful. The tzatziki? AMAZING. During our diner we enjoyed a nice glass of Merlot (richly filled to the top) The Baklava was very rich in ingredients & taste, which was the perfect ending to a delicious AND amazingly priced dinner. We will most likely be eating here again (which says a lot since our hotel is all inclusive 😂) Keep up the great work!

The best meal we've had in Kos, on the sea front with an amazing view. The staff were lovely and the food cooked to perfection. Definitely worth a visit

Very traditional looking Greek restaurant with great views. We had great starters and main course. I had asked for no chips with my prawns but have rice instead but it didn't arrive until I asked for some and then it was soon brought to the table
